ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL

5th AVE & E 51st ST, NYC

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade's Misa Jíbara is a cherished tradition held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on the Sunday before the parade in New York City, blending faith, culture, and heritage.

This special Mass, celebrated in Spanish, honors Puerto Rico’s deep Catholic roots and features traditional jíbaro music, reflecting the spirit of the island’s countryside. It serves as a moment of unity and blessing ahead of the annual parade, bringing together the Puerto Rican community to celebrate its resilience, contributions, and cultural pride.
