María Celeste Arrarás is a distinguished Puerto Rican journalist, television host, and author, renowned for her impactful presence in Hispanic media. Born in Mayagüez in 1960, she showcased early talent as a swimmer, winning medals at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships. Transitioning to journalism, Arrarás built a prolific career, notably hosting and managing Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste on Telemundo for nearly two decades, reaching millions across the U.S. and Latin America. Her investigative reporting includes the best-selling book Selena's Secret, detailing the events leading to the tragic death of singer Selena Quintanilla. Beyond journalism, she is an advocate for environmental and animal rights, collaborating with organizations like The Humane Society to improve animal welfare in Puerto Rico. Her contributions have significantly elevated the representation and voice of the Latino community in mainstream media.
