Amanda Leah Brown, born on June 4, 1985, in the Bronx, New York, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress of Puerto Rican and Jamaican descent. She began singing at her local church at the age of six and later attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she was introduced to various music genres. Brown gained national attention as a contestant on Season 3 of NBC's "The Voice," finishing in fifth place. She has since performed alongside renowned artists such as Alicia Keys, Adele, and The Killers. Her debut album, "Dirty Water," was released in 2018, showcasing her versatility and soulful sound.
